When we may refer allegations to a regulatory agency

DCJ has a duty to report to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) any matter where there is a reasonable suspicion that corrupt conduct has occurred or may occur.

Depending on the nature of the matter, DCJ may also refer the matter to other relevant integrity, regulatory or funding agencies or bodies, which include those listed below.

  • Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission
  • Australian Securities and Investments Commission
  • Fair Trading Commissioner
  • NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption
  • NSW Ombudsman
  • NSW Police or Australian Federal Police, as applicable
  • Office of the Children’s Guardian
  • Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations
  • Privacy Commissioner
  • Registrar of Community Housing
  • SafeWork NSW.
